Some of these methods may surprise you, and some are particularly useful when traveling.

1. Ironing clothes with a dryer

You can also put your clothes in the dryer to remove wrinkles. First, check the symbol on the clothing label to determine if it is safe to tumble dry. If it is, spray the clothes with water and then put them in the dryer along with one or two damp items, such as damp socks. You can even toss some ice cubes into the dryer. As they melt, they release steam that will help smooth out wrinkles on your clothes. Place the wrinkled clothes in the dryer on medium heat for about 15 minutes.

2. Use a hair dryer

Lay the wrinkled item on a flat surface and “blow dry” it with hot air from a hair dryer. Hold the hair dryer a few inches above the fabric and blow dry the front and back of the garment. The wrinkles will soon disappear before your eyes. You can spray or apply a few drops of water to the item before drying it to soften it.

3. Smooth out wrinkles in the shower

Hang the missing item in the bathroom and turn on the shower and the hottest water. Close the door to create a sauna effect. Check the clothing after about 10 minutes, but be aware that it may take up to 20 minutes for the creases to completely disappear. If you hang the clothing on a shower rod, make sure the shower head is facing away from the clothing to avoid getting it wet.

4. Hair straighteners can help

Hair straighteners work really well for stubborn creases, especially in hard-to-iron areas like collars and sleeves. Just make sure the iron isn’t rusted, stained with hair products, or has hair on it. Also be careful about the heat setting and pressure you use. You don’t want to damage your clothing or burn yourself.

5. I was so tired that I felt

This is a very simple method that works really well. On a flat surface, place a damp towel over the wrinkled garment. Use your hands to press and smooth out any deep wrinkles. Hang the garment to air dry. Before attending an event, check the towel for any stray lint and remove it.

6. Use an anti-wrinkle spray

Always keep a bottle of professional anti-wrinkle spray in your bathroom. There are several brands that sell these products, and you can find them in drugstores or online stores. Simply spray the spray on your clothes, and wrinkles will be smoothed out in no time.

7. Try vinegar spray

You can also make your own anti-wrinkle spray using white vinegar. It’s a cheap and chemical-free alternative. Spray wrinkled clothes with a 1:3 mixture of vinegar and water and let air dry. Vinegar is great for laundry because it acts as a natural deodorizer and cleans clothes.

8. Use an egg cooker to flatten the creases

Don’t have a steam iron handy? Learn how to remove wrinkles from clothes using a wrinkle remover. Boil water in a kettle and hold the garment about a metre from the steam. Wrinkles will quickly disappear.

9. Make an iron out of a pot

Boil water in a metal container and pour out the water once it boils. You will be using the bottom of the pot instead of the iron on your clothes. Make sure the bottom of the pot is level and be careful, though, as it will be very hot.

10. Put clothes under the mattress

Lay the garment on a flat surface, smooth out the creases, and roll it up like a burrito. Stuff the fabric burrito under the mattress and wait 15 to 30 minutes. It says that when you remove it, there will be no more wrinkles. Reader’s Digest.
