Gorenski Glass | Žan Videc celebrates in “Rhythms of Sea and Sun”

The biggest winner at the 43rd Melodij morja i sunca competition in Portorož on Sunday was Žan Videc from Maribor with his work “Neznano”. Videc also shared the Danilo Kocjančič Award for Most Promising Performer with Martina Zerjal. A total of 14 performers took part in the competition. Trio Vivere took second place with the song “Kanconeta”, whose lyrics were written by Dušan Velkaverh and whose arrangement was made by Matjaž Vlašič from Kranj. Singer Monika Avsenik from Begunj was the only singer who did not take fourth place with the folk song Nisem. The jury also awarded three new prizes: the Music Legend Award went to the band Prizma, the Best Writer Award went to songwriter Feri Lainšček and the Music Future Award went to Ballader.
