This is baby formula.
The Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic (ÚVZ) has drawn attention to substandard infant formula with excessive pesticide residues. It advises consumers not to buy and consume them, or return them to the point of sale. The ÚVZ SR Communications Department informed TASR about this.
The unsuitable baby foods are Hello XXL Strawberry Infant Formula 200g from 6 months with a best before date of 11/12/2025 and similarly Hello XXL Strawberry Infant Formula 100g from 4 months with a best before date of 08/. 10. 2025.
“Laboratory analysis revealed that the pesticide residues (fosetyl aluminum, chlorate) in the above-mentioned foods exceeded 0.01 mg per kilogram. This exceeds the limits established by legislation and, therefore, these products are considered unsafe,” the office said.
Regional public health authorities are taking steps to withdraw the above mentioned foods from the market in the Slovak Republic. Both foods are being reported to the RASFF Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.
