European Integration Minister Majda Gorcevic said former Foreign Minister Filip Ivanovic will become deputy prime minister for foreign affairs and EU integration, and former state secretary Bojan Bozovic will be appointed justice minister today.
Ivanovic “becomes deputy prime minister for foreign policy and EU integration”, she told the European Integration Committee.
– He will be the representative of PES, holding the position of vice-president, from which he will be able to contribute more, especially if we take into account all the connections he has had so far as MVP, said Gorcevic.
Gorcević said Bojan Bozović would make a great justice minister.
– He is not abandoning the negotiating structure – on the contrary, he is strengthening it from his position as minister. She said he has made an outstanding contribution and from his position as minister he can further strengthen that contribution.
When it comes to the resolution on Jasenovac, Gorcevich said she believes it was right to adopt it, just as it is right to adopt any resolution on the culture of memory.
– Any country can prevent Montenegro from joining the EU. I think Croatia is a friend of Montenegro, relations should be nurtured, all issues should be open, this is not only about the resolution of the Jasenovac issue, but also about the Jadran and Prevlaka issues, these issues should be resolved in the coming period of bilateral cooperation, the minister said.
He added that the text of the resolution will not affect the Croatian community in Montenegro in any way, claiming that if we read the text of the resolution carefully, it will not damage relations.
