Together with the July package for damage caused by the August floods, a total of €88.35 million will be paid to the companies, including a 10% advance and refunds up to the total amount of aid.

At the same time, the Ministry warns that many applications remain incomplete. Therefore, all beneficiaries who receive a call to complete their applications are urged to do so quickly and accurately. For all considered applications, a determination will be made as to the completeness and sufficiency of their supporting documentation, and once confirmed, a decision will be issued and funds will be disbursed.

1,040 victims sent evidence

The Ministry of Economy has received proof of damages from 1,040 victims of the August floods. Of these, 958 had received a 10% advance payment last autumn, amounting to 35.42 million euros. The Ministry is now paying compensation or, depending on the relevant evidence, the difference in assistance between the advance payment and the damages, up to 45% for uninsured damages and up to 60% for insured damages.

The economic losses caused by last year’s floods were estimated at €384.5 million, of which machinery and equipment losses were estimated at €169.8 million, stock losses at €91.5 million and revenue losses at €123.2 million.
