FIA arrests man for using fake US visa to defraud childhood friend

According to a report by ARY News, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime ring has registered a case against a man who was accused of defrauding his childhood friend by providing a fake US visa.

Reports said the accused, Sheikh Muhammad Hudifa, posed as an American employee and tricked his childhood friend into transferring Rs 1.5 million online.

He allegedly forged emails and WhatsApp messages, claiming to be an employee of an American food chain, and convinced his victims, including brothers Syed Muazam and Muhammad Muiz, to submit their passports for a purported visa interview at the US Consulate in Karachi.

Hudifa reportedly issued the brothers fake US visas after receiving their passports. Although he initially kept in touch with the victims after returning to Pakistan, he then disappeared and cut off phone contact.

The victim realized that he had been defrauded only after he went to the US Consulate in Karachi.The FIA ​​cyber crime ring has initiated legal proceedings against the accused and is conducting further investigation into the case.
