Pakistani troops have successfully rescued seven climbers, including three Russians and four Pakistanis, who were stranded at 20,100 feet in Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to Russian state television PTV, an avalanche hit Gasherbrum IV in the Gilgit-Baltistan region on August 17, trapping a group of Russian climbers.
The climbers were in trouble due to altitude sickness and urgently needed assistance.
After receiving the distress signal, the Pakistani army quickly dispatched helicopters to the scene and safely evacuated all climbers.
The rescued climbers expressed gratitude to the Pakistani army for its quick and effective response.
