Introduction

Put some serious thought into designing the most coveted Loeries handbag!

Keep it simple and concise – Create a design that can be applied to a tote bag to convey the theme: It’s hard. So are you!.

There are no cash prizes, but there are 2 VIP Loeries tickets, a chance to see your design distributed as official Loeries merchandise, displayed at the awards symposium… and of course, bragging rights up for grabs!

The winners will be announced at Loeries Creative Week and showcased on Bizcommunity.

Winners will also be able to attend Loerie Awards Nights 1 and 2 and Masterclasses in October 2024.*

qualified

  • The competition is open to anyone currently working in the brand communications industry or aspiring to enter the industry.
  • Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules/guidelines. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Submission Guidelines

  • The competition opens on August 13 and closes on September 4. Late submissions will not be considered.
  • All entries must be submitted electronically to moc.ytinummoczib@hguotsisiht
  • Submissions must include your full name, email address, contact number, job title and organization or school, and social media handles.

Design Guide

  • use Loeries Design Toolkit .
  • The inclusion of the Loeries logo bird is mandatory, the remaining elements are for reference only.
  • Please submit your work as an independent design.
  • Entries must be printed on a tote bag. The design must be printed entirely on the front of the bag.
  • Designs should be submitted as high-resolution digital PDFs in A3 size.
  • Designs must be a single color.
  • The design must include the Loeries logo bird and phrase It’s hard. So are you.

terms and Conditions

  1. All entries must be original works of the entrants and must not infringe any intellectual property rights.
  2. The winning design will become the exclusive property of the Loerie Awards and may be used for any purpose, including but not limited to websites, social media, posters and other promotional materials.
  3. Entries will be exhibited at Loeries Creative Week, 6-11 October 2024 at the Homecoming Centre in Cape Town.
  4. The winner’s name will be announced in the official announcement of the winners, including but not limited to the Loeries website, social media pages, and other materials.
  5. Any violation of the rules will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of prize.

Winner Selection and Prizes

The winners will be selected by Loerie Awards, whose decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be notified via email in mid-September 2024.

*There are no cash prizes. The winning artist will be recognized in the announcement and will receive a complimentary ticket to the Loerie Awards 1 & 2 Nights and Masterclass in October 2024. Accommodation and flights are not included and are the responsibility of the winner.

The winner will also receive three tote bags and an official Loeries T-shirt.

The winning design may be produced in limited edition during Loeries Creative Week, October 6-11, 2024.
