The head of the Tirana Police Department, Tonin Vocaj, informed the media about the completion of the second stage of the large-scale operation “Tempulli 3”, in which 24 people have been arrested, and informed that 19 people were arrested during the work. The arrest of five others continues.

He added that during the operation, a certain amount of marijuana, doses, money, five vehicles and several mobile phones were seized.

The Tirana Local Police, in implementing the measures set out in the School Safety Package and the priorities of the National Police, in order to guarantee the safest possible environment for students and prevent negative phenomena in the future, has developed checks and actions against elements and criminal groups that seek to develop young people’s involvement in criminal activities.
The Drug Investigation Unit of the Tirana Local Police Department, following consecutive operations aimed at preventing, detecting and combating criminal activities in the drug field, and following two large-scale nationwide operations “Tempulli 1” and “Tempulli 2”, mentioned submitting these materials to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of Tirana Ordinary Jurisdiction, which registered 2 criminal proceedings in 2024.
The drug investigation experts of the Tirana Local Police Department, under the guidance of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, provided legal evidence after conducting quarterly investigations using special investigation methods, documenting the criminal activities of 24 citizens.

During the operation, the Tirana General Jurisdiction Court of First Instance took the personal security measure of “prison arrest” against them for the criminal offence of “production and sale of narcotics”, including:
KH, 26 years old, DK, 39 years old, OV, 21 years old, HF, 20 years old, F.Gj., 32 years old, V.Xh., 42 years old, A.Xh., 52 years old, OI, 62 years old, LK, 26 years old, MK, 32 years old, KH, 24 years old, RM, 25 years old, MS, 18 years old, R.Sh., 33 years old, DG, 21 years old, RD (S.), 52 years old, EB, 37 years old, A.Sh., 33 years old, BK, 34 years old (previously arrested during the investigation).
Among those against whom the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana has taken security measures is citizen A. Xh. (alias AT, alias JC), 52 years old, resident in Tirana, arrested in May this year for collaboration in the criminal offence of “intentional murder”, an event that took place in the Greek state.
Giithashtu is working to locate and arrest five more citizens.
During the operation, the following physical evidence was seized:
➢ 1.2 kg of suspected narcotic cocaine;
➢ Hundreds of doses of suspected narcotics heroin and marijuana;
Ø 12 mobile phones;
Ø 5 vehicles;
➢ Large amounts of Lek and other currencies suspected of being profits from drug sales.
Investigations revealed that these citizens distributed drugs near schools and other places frequented by young people in different areas of Tirana.
Drug investigation experts of the Deputy Chief of Police of Tirana, in cooperation with the Office of the Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, continue to carry out investigative operations in order to fully document this criminal activity and to identify and hold legally accountable other citizens involved.
Within the framework of the excellent cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana and the Tirana Local Police, I take this opportunity to thank the Prosecutors Mr. Drinyi Pali and Mr. Adriano Dyrmishi, as well as the Head of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, Arens Cela, for their guidance, coordination and support in the successful completion of two proceedings in the second phase of the large-scale operation “Temple 3”.
