The Calypso monarch of 2024 is Dezral from Fire One Calypso Tent. Dezral sang two spellbinding songs, “De Biggest Gun” and “A Wish For Fish”, solidifying his status as the king.
This year’s list of title contenders included seven former Calypso kings and other extremely talented singers, and the audience and judges were treated to wonderful performances from the singers, which provided a high-quality entertainment evening.
The results of this year’s Calypso Monarch competition are as follows:

Speaking about his win, King Dezlar said: “It feels incredible to win the Monarch title again. I am confident not only in my performance but also in the quality of my song. It feels great to have a song that can surpass previous Monarchs and that the audience loves.” This is the second time Dezlar has won the Calypso Monarch title.
Other calypso singers competing include the 2023 Calypso Kings: Ti Blacks, Educator, Mica, Solange, Ti Carro and audience favourite Gamtion.
The Lucien Carnival will culminate this weekend with the Teen Carnival Parade on Sunday, July 14, 2024, the J’Ouvert Parade on July 15 and the Band Parade through the city of Castries on July 15 and 16.
