Bangladesh imposes curfew and deploys army to deal with ongoing unrest

Bangladesh’s government imposed a curfew and troops patrolled cities on Saturday after another day of violent clashes between student protesters and police over a quota for civil service jobs left more than 100 protesters dead and nearly 300 police officers injured. The latest violence led Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to cancel a diplomatic visit to Spain and Brazil that was scheduled for Sunday.
