Admitting that making Viewtower was a mistake – Online Khabar

Kathmandu, June 5. BJP (RASWPA) MP Hari Dhakal said the CPN-ML MPs should admit that the concept of the observation tower is wrong.

He was participating in a discussion on the Youth and Sports Ministry budget in the House of Representatives on Wednesday when he criticised the UML-led government for only building an observation tower but not a sports stadium in the past.

“I ask the distinguished members of the UML to listen to me,” he said. “First, let’s look at the number of observation towers that were built across the country during your time. How many stadiums were built? There were billions of observation towers.”

The Dhakal councillor termed the expenditure incurred on the construction of the observation tower as unproductive expenditure.

“Since we cannot build two stadiums without spending money, you should come to the House and say that the concept of building an observation tower is wrong,” MP Dhakal said.

He said that Parliament is a place where truth is told and UML MPs should be able to accept the truth.

“This is not a place to hide the truth. This is not a place to hide lies. This is a place to show lies in front of the people. I have shown a little bit,” MP Dhakal said. “Gajjab had money then (when the UML led the government). It was spent on the observation tower. If it was built, it would have been a stadium…”
