The streaming platform’s events feature fan-favorite sports such as extreme beach cuddles, water skiing, twirling and barbecue sports.

The content segment humorously depicts the obsession of South African sports fans and the contrast between the intensity of the athletes’ performances and the fanatical nature of the crowds.

This is the latest work from Retroviral and Panther Punch, a viral marketing campaign that encourages consumers to sign up for DStv Stream.

Glen Biderman-Pam of Panther Punch, who co-sponsored the event, said: “People generally underestimate the elite nature of athletes.”

“The quadrennial event (the Olympics) allows us to see the exceptional performances of the individuals who represent our country and DStv Stream gives us the opportunity to experience the game through these athletes who sacrifice everything to wear the green and gold jersey.”

“From July 26 to September 8, hundreds of sportsmen and women will be representing South Africa in Paris, and DStv Stream is the only ticket you need to ‘go’ to this headline event,” he explained.

“Let’s support the South African team over the next two months and spread the good vibes from Parys (and our mini Eiffel Tower) all the way to Paris,” he added.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will begin on Friday, July 26 at 7:30pm on DStv Stream.
