“More than 65% of these were vehicles older than 10 years, and an interesting fact is that around a third of second-hand cars registered for the first time from the beginning of the year to May 1 had an engine displacement between 1,800 and 2,000 cubic metres,” the website’s analysis showed.

The research included used-car sales data from the first four months of the year, collected in partnership with theCUBE team, as well as driver interest.

“This time, it has been confirmed that Serbian used car buyers are turning to diesel engine cars, which accounted for more than 63% of all used imported cars sold in the first four months. “Gasoline engine cars currently account for about 30% of used car sales, and as of the last day of April, pure electric used car sales amounted to 224 units, 100 more than the same period last year,” the data shows.

Currently, there are more than 400 electric used cars on the used car website.

“New car buyers usually choose cars with a small displacement, while those who buy used cars prefer engines with a large displacement. Specifically, from the beginning of the year to May 1, more than 14,000 used cars were registered for the first time with an engine displacement of 1,800 to 2,000 cubic meters, accounting for 34%, while slightly more than 9,000 used cars sold in the same period had a volume of 1,500 to 1,800 cubic meters, accounting for 22%, “the survey showed.

In terms of year, imported cars produced between 2008 and 2012 are still the most purchased.

On the used car website, there are currently more than 22,000 used cars of this age group advertised, and also at a very diverse price range. The offer includes vehicles priced from 3,000 euros, but there are also vehicles priced above 18,000 euros.

More than 65% of used cars registered for the first time are more than 10 years old.
