Police have arrested a suspect after two suitcases containing human remains were found on a bridge in the UK.
The 24-year-old man was arrested in Bristol and is being taken to London for questioning, police said on Saturday. No other suspects are being sought.
Bristol police were alerted on Wednesday evening because a man was acting suspiciously on the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge in the southwest England city. When officers arrived, the man had already fled. However, investigators found two suitcases containing human remains. The victims have not yet been identified, but police believe they are the remains of two adult men.
London police have taken over the investigation
London police have taken over the investigation into the case as there is evidence that the suspect had previously travelled from the British capital to Bristol. Opened in 1864, the Clifton Suspension Bridge over the River Avon is one of Bristol’s most famous attractions and a landmark of the city.

Meanwhile, police arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the incident but later released him. Investigators have reportedly been making a public appeal to find the 24-year-old since Thursday.
According to recent reports, police found more body parts during a search of a London apartment. These may be linked to the find in Bristol.
