In a worrying turn of events that has rocked the Paraguayan entertainment community, renowned showman Tonito Gaona has publicly condemned the death threats he has received.
The threat was initiated by lawyer Pablo Gallo Martínez, who responded to Gaona’s Instagram post with a shocking message: “Sometimes, it shouldn’t be a crime to wipe a person from this world”.
Given the seriousness of the situation, Gaona did not hesitate to take immediate action and filed a corresponding complaint with the National Police. Tonito expressed his indignation and concern in a statement.
“I am filing this complaint for two reasons: One, the person making the threat is a lawyer who should know he can’t say something with that connotation if it’s not true, so I have to take the threat seriously. Two, because this is why we march, for the right to be whoever we want to be without being threatened. It’s everyone’s right to choose their own personality.”he said.
The complaint filed with authorities underscores the seriousness of the case, making it clear that Gaona is holding Gallo Martínez responsible for any damages he may have suffered. “Because of what happened, he informed the competent authorities for possible purposes and held him responsible for any damages caused to his person.”referring to some of the documents handed over to the police.
