Recently, a new method of smuggling was uncovered after a fake ambulance was detained at the DNIT (National Tax Service) control barrier.

A large amount of products originating from Argentina were transported in the vehicle, but without proper documentation, so the driver had to be detained.

“The driver ran over our DNIT patrol car and tried to escape. Inside the car we found oil and coffee from Argentina,” explained Julio Martínez, head of DNTI’s anti-smuggling operations.

The surgery was performed at Bonifacio Obando Avenue in Lambare City.
