The Haflong Atoll Hospital and some health centres in the atoll need 50 Dhruvi nurses instead of foreign nurses.

The current policy for recruiting nurses, other professional posts and teachers in health institutions is to bring in foreigners only if there is an opportunity for Druvi people, who are not qualified for these posts.

The Atoll Hospital in Didudhoo Island, Haflong Atoll, today announced the recruitment of registered nurses for the hospital and some health centres in the atoll.

Therefore, HS Atoll Hospital requires 13 registered nurses. Kela Health Centre has 8 positions, Thakandu Health Centre has 6 positions and Barong Health Centre has 6 positions.

Besides, 4 posts have been opened for Horaphoshi health centre, 3 posts for Vashafar health centre, 2 posts each for Muraidu, Uligamu, Morhadhoo, Pilladu and Uthimu health centres. There is 1 post vacant in Thiruvananthapuram and Marand health centres.

These are permanent jobs. The position will be open to those who are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of the Maldives and have a full license to practice.

The requirement for Public Service Rane 5 is a qualification of Level 5 or 6 in the National Qualification Framework in the field of Nursing recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Maldives. The basic salary for this level is Rs 11,428, allowances are Rs 5,3333 and daily work allowance is Rs 144.

The requirement for Public Service Rane 4 is a qualification of Level 7 or 8 in the National Qualification Framework in the field of Nursing recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Maldives. The basic salary for this level is Rs 13,057, allowances are Rs 6,094 and daily working pay is Rs 165.

Additionally, overtime and vacation pay for civil service employees are eligible.

Interviews and exams for these positions will take place between July 3 and July 31, 2024.
