The South African Broadcasting Corporation has announced that experienced journalist and broadcaster Thulasizwe Simelane will join SAfm in September as the new host and anchor of the station’s flagship breakfast show. Morning Briefing.

He started his broadcast journalism career in 2007 at the South African Broadcasting Corporation, where he established the SABC Harare Bureau. His extensive experience includes presenting prime time news on various news television networks (eNCA, NewzRoom Afrika), serving as Head of the Political News Desk at NewzRoom Afrika, presenting 702 and serving as Senior Political Correspondent for the SABC News and Current Affairs Channel. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Witwatersrand.
