Yutova expects shaky start to pre-election campaign – Bulgaria

Vice President Iliyana Yotova announced that she expected a rocky start to the campaign.

At the opening of the 31st meeting of the Bulgarian Karakachans in the “Kalandira” region, Iliyana Yotova commented on the tensions surrounding the DPS.

“The situation that the law enforcement and judicial authorities are facing right now is that they have to really pass a very difficult test and prove to all of us, Bulgarians, that they can actually be the guarantors of the rule of law, because there have to be some laws in place. The respect that we have and the entry of property and so on that we have witnessed since yesterday, I think that with this Bulgarian way of resolving relations, public or private, we should have broken up in the early 90s,” Yutova said.

Vice President Iliana Yotova expressed hope that the registration of individual party lists with the Central Election Commission will proceed normally next week.
