Yamal’s record-breaking goal sends Spain to final

Yamal’s record-breaking goal helped Spain reach the final of the 2012 European Championship. Spain defeated France 2-1 to advance to the final.

France scored first in the semi-final. Kolo Mouani took the lead for France in the 8th minute. Mbappe made a low pass from the left wing and Kolo Mouani’s header went wide. But France took the lead in the 12th minute.

Ramin Yamal equalized for Spain with a goal that broke a European record. Yamal’s left-foot shot from the edge of the penalty area went wide of the post. Yamal’s goal became the oldest goal in European history. At the age of 16, Yamal became the youngest player to score at the European Championship with his goal. It was Yamal’s third goal for his national team. Johann von Lantern of Switzerland was the youngest player to score at the 2012 European Championship. At the age of 18, he also scored against France. That was at the 2004 European Championship.

Spain took the lead within three minutes of the equalizer. Olmo took the lead for Spain in the 25th minute. He slowly slid the ball across the penalty area and then hit the ball into the net. The ball between the goalkeeper and Kounde was initially ruled a goal by Kounde. But the decision was changed at the end of the half and it was considered Olmo’s goal.

Neither team had many chances to score. In the 5th minute, Yamal crossed from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball went wide of Fabia Ruiz. In the 8th minute of the second half, France sent a corner kick into the penalty area, and Chamani headed the ball straight into the hands of goalkeeper Simon. Five minutes later, in the 59th minute, Dembele sent a powerful ball from the edge of the penalty area. French defender Theo Hernandez had a great chance in the 75th minute. He passed the ball too high from the penalty area line.

Yamal made a dangerous move in the last ten minutes of the game. He sent the ball across the right side of the goal. Spain will play England or the Netherlands in the final.
