For pedestrians, traffic will be ensured at existing intersections at both ends of the restricted road section. The traffic diversion preparation work will be carried out with the support and supervision of the Highway Brigade.
Bus number 6 will ensure direct access from North Station to Otopeni Airport without changing at 1 Mai Station
The line is 14.2 km long and includes 12 metro stations: Pajura, Expozitiei, Piaţa Montreal, Baneasa Station, Baneasa Airport, Tokyo, Washington, Paris, Brussels, Otopeni, Ion IC Brătianu, “Henri Coandă International Airport”.
The project “Magistrala 6. 1 Mai – Otopeni, connection of the metro network with the Henri Coandă International Airport – Otopeni” is one of the public undertakings and in the national interest, according to Government Decision 496/2017, as well as subsequent amendments and supplements, to ensure the mobility needs of people through the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), financed by external reimbursable and non-reimbursable funds.
