Former football representative and troublemaker Martin Feining (37) is drinking again. Shortly after his marriage officially ended, the former Bundesliga star admitted that he has been drinking every day since leaving rehab in March.
The former football player spoke about his troubles in an interview with German media Bildwhose editor went to Řeporyjy in Prague to visit Fenin. He found Fenin in a local sports bar. During the interview, Fenin drank white wine Sprite and gave a terrible impression.
At the end of March, Feining was released from the Czerveny Dvor alcohol treatment center. However, his journey of abstinence was in vain and the former football star became addicted to alcohol again. “Yes, I drank again,” he admitted to a German newspaper.
It wasn’t an occasional drink, though. “I drink every day. Every day since I was discharged from hospital,” continued Feining, whose marriage to Beata, with whom he has a three-year-old daughter, Mia, was officially terminated on Monday at Prague’s Fifth District Court.
He spent his days hanging out, drinking, and doing nothing. He drowned his sorrows in alcohol. “I just watched YouTube all day and drank Jägermeister to help with the homesickness. I love my daughter very much,” he said publicly.

He knew that if he continued drinking, there would be fatal consequences. “Sooner or later I’ll starve myself to death,” he said, pointing to his pancreas. He had already started having problems with it in 2018. He eventually fell into a coma, but doctors managed to revive him at IKEM in Prague.
