New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued an ‘orange’ alert for heavy rainfall over eastern Rajasthan and Kerala. The meteorological department issued a ‘yellow’ alert for light to moderate rain over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal regions on Wednesday, August 14.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted that it will be cloudy at many places on August 14, during which light to moderate rain, thundershowers or lightning are expected. The department said that states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds.

India Meteorological Department: Delhi to have moderate rain

The national capital is likely to see cloudy weather with light to moderate rain, thundershowers and lightning, the meteorological department said. According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature in Delhi will be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 26.6 degrees Celsius.
