New Popular Front (NFP) leader Jean-Luc Melenchon said his party was “ready to govern” after polls showed his left-wing coalition had secured a majority in France’s snap election.
The NFP is projected to receive 172-205 seats and will have to form a minority government in the National Assembly, where it needs 289 seats for an outright majority.
