Better known as “Ofin” and “Ma Joseph”, 94 years old, from Layou, living in Loubiere
She died on Sunday, July 28, at the Dominican-China Friendship Hospital.
She was the mother of three children: Charles, James and Pauline
9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
2 sisters: Gwyneth Joseph of Layou and Sylvie Joseph of Venezuela
Brothers: Angelio of St. Joseph and Errol of St. Thomas
10 nieces, 14 nephews.
Special cousins: Norma and Felton Thomas, Cece of Soufriere, Daisy and Lorraine of Boston;
Special neighbors and friends: Linda, Shanna, Sonya, Mama Matthew, Dora, Queenie, Ursuline, Glenda and Loubiere Community
Other relatives’ names are too numerous to mention.
Her daughter Natalie has passed away.
The body of the late Mary Viola Joseph, better known as “Orpheum” and “Mama Joseph,” will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Newtown for viewing on Friday, August 23 at 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
