Fire Chief Josiah Dupuis is retiring after 18 years on the job.
A ceremony was held at fire headquarters on Friday morning to honor Mr. Dupuy.
National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmore said at the ceremony that Mr Dupuy had served with distinction.
Meanwhile, the outgoing fire chief said the cooperation of firefighters and the management of the fire department were the keys to his success
