Thailand has decided to further provide visa waivers to Indians travelling to the country.
The Thai government is providing additional facilities for Dhanvantaris travelling to Thailand from July 15, 2024, following changes in immigration rules.
Therefore, under the visa policy update between Sri Lanka and Thailand, Sri Lankans travelling to Thailand for holiday, medical treatment or business purposes will now be allowed to stay in Thailand for 60 (fifty) days without a visa.
“If you need to extend the validity of a 60-day visa, your visa will be extended for another 30 days after submitting an application to the Thai Immigration Department before the expiry date,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded people travelling abroad for various purposes of the importance of purchasing travel insurance before departure. He also advised them to respect the laws and regulations of their own country while abroad.
Thailand is a country where a large number of Indians travel for various purposes.
