The King and Queen of the Bands competition was a spectacular celebration of art and culture on Monday night at the SAB competition grounds. Fifteen magnificent costumes were on display as nine queens and six kings competed for the coveted title. Each costume, some measuring thirty feet tall, was carefully evaluated for its design, craftsmanship, presentation and interpretation of the theme.

Queen of the Band
Sharon Tanner from the Twel tribe took the top spot with her stunning work “Sisters in the Stream, Ritual of Faith and Friendship” with a score of 438. She was followed by Kim Desir, also from the Twel tribe, with her work “Rivers of Blood and Memory” with a score of 411. Maier Sifflet from Xuvo was runner-up with “Siri” with a score of 400, while Rosemary Harris from Fuzion Mas came in third with “Ti Fiti and the Dragon Lady” with a score of 385.
King of the Band
In the men’s category, Giovanni St. Omer of Fuzion Mas won the King of Bands with his stunning “Drogon King of Dragons, Protector of The Realm” with 439 points. Jordan Augier of Twel won the runner-up with “Exodus 14” with 425 points. Lamar Sifflet of Xuvo won the third place with “Pred8or” with 415 points, and Cedrik Laurent of Island Tribe won the third place with “Leave the World Behind” with 384 points.
