Balazs Cebestyen soaked in a tub of ice water in just his underwear during Balazs Cebestyen’s Friday morning broadcast.
The host agreed to try it out live on a world-renowned Dutch extreme athlete, About Wim Hof It’s called ice water diving.
Sebestyén was not the only one who started this unusual experiment, because in addition to Feri Rákóczi and Eszter Ráskó, expert and Wim Hof mentor András Paksi also helped.
Wim Hof Method
Wim Hof’s story begins in 1976, when he was 17 years old. On a grey, cold winter day, he was walking in Amsterdam when he felt a strange urge to jump into an icy canal. He followed his instincts: he stripped off his clothes and stepped into the cold water. He immediately felt a strange calm come over him, as if all his troubles had melted away.
Balázs Sebestyén also tries to achieve this inner peace while doing breathing therapy in ice water.
“It hurt, but deeply relaxing. Now I can stay, it was hard for the first half minute, but then there was such a release,” the host wrote of the experience.
