PARIS, France — Captain Yona Knight-Wisdom, sprinter Bryan Levell and long jumper Ackelia Smith improved in their respective events during Tuesday morning’s 2024 Paris Olympics at the Stade de France and Olympic Aquatics Center.
Nate-Wisden qualified for the semifinals in the men’s 3m springboard diving, finishing 14th with 382.90 points. Nate-Wisden, who was competing for Jamaica in his third Olympics, had his best dive of a forward double somersault, double somersault, in a tucked position, which earned him 73.10 points. However, his reverse double somersault, in a tucked position, earned him the lowest score of 43.75 points.
China’s Wang Zongyuan topped the 18 qualifiers with 530.65 points. Knight-Wisden will return to the semifinals on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Adele Tracy ran a season-best 4:09.33 in the women’s 1500m preliminaries but finished 13th and failed to automatically qualify. She will compete in a repechage on Wednesday morning for her last chance to advance to the semifinals.
