Libreville, Sunday, August 4, 2024 (Gabon News) – The Transitional President made an official 48-hour visit to Uganda, visiting the “Luweero Industries” factory, which specializes in the production of military equipment.
The Gabonese head of state’s visit to Uganda, in addition to meeting President Yoweri Museveni, visiting a textile manufacturing factory and presenting the Ugandan economic model he follows, also included a visit to the town of Luwero to visit the “Luweero Industries” factory.
The President of the Republic and his delegation were briefed on site on the process of vehicle manufacturing, electronic and medical waste management, the production of helmets and bulletproof vests, the repair of large-caliber and small-caliber weapons, as well as the means of maintenance and repair of helicopters.
On the agenda of the Ugandan head of state was also a meeting with the Gabonese community living in this friendly country. An estimated thirty compatriots, the diaspora took advantage of the opportunity to explain their difficulties. These were difficulties in the health and social fields.
In fact, according to the presidential press report that provided the information, the women who gathered in this community asked the Gabonese government for support to cover their medical expenses related to infertility treatment.
General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema, after listening to his compatriots, explained to them the reasons for the liberation coup of August 30, 2023. He also encouraged the efforts made by all sectors of society for the image of the country abroad, and then instructed the government to solve these problems of the Gabonese people.
