At a rally held today in the Arganzuela district of Madrid by Esperanza Aguirre, president of the People’s Party of Madrid, two young men with the slogan “Fascist Pandemic” written in black letters on their naked torsos suddenly shouted the same slogan.
The president of the People’s Party of Madrid attended today a rally in the center of the Arganzuela district of Madrid, together with the mayor of Madrid, Ana Botella, and Carlos Iturgaiz, MEP and number 17 on the People’s Party list for the May elections.
During her speech, two young men rushed in and tried to approach Aguirre loudly while chanting the slogan in English – a slogan that played on the words “epidemic,” “fascist” and “PP,” before they were ejected from the chamber where the rally was held.
The young women were booed by attendees, and after they were ejected, Aguirre himself sarcastically said they had not “gotten” what they meant.
On April 22, activists of the “Feminist Movement” held a protest in Paris with the same slogan to oppose the European election campaign launched by the party of far-right leader Marine Le Pen.
