President Ferdinand Marcos on Monday asked government agencies to issue early warnings of school and work suspensions based on close monitoring of the speed and direction of Tropical Storm Enten.
“We will try to make an announcement as early as possible tomorrow (Tuesday) to allow people to go to work and school,” he said on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of an event marking the 28th anniversary of the signing of the final peace agreement with the Moro National Liberation Front in 1996.
“My instructions to them is that if possible, before we go to bed, we already know if there will be school tomorrow so that people can adapt.” Marcos said.
