Finland’s warm weather is fading, but summer temperatures are still expected in the last week of August. There will still be gusty winds in the country from the beginning of the week, and high pressure will strengthen thereafter.

On Monday, there will be gusty winds from the west and north, even gusty in the western seas. In most parts of the country, the day will be sunny, but cooler than on Sunday. The temperature will mostly be between 17 and 21 degrees, remaining below 15 degrees in northern Lapland.

There will be showers in Lapland and Norrbotten. Heavy showers are possible on the coast of Ostrobothnia on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, the wind will continue, especially in the northern part of the country. There will be showers in many places in the center of the country, Lapland and parts of the south. The temperature will remain similar to Monday.

By Wednesday, the winds will weaken and the high pressure will strengthen. The cloud cover will be variable, with showers in parts of the central region. At the same time, the temperatures will rise again, reaching 21-23 degrees in sunny areas in the south. In the more northern cloudy areas, the temperature will be between 17 and 19 degrees, and between 12 and 18 degrees in Lapland.

On Thursday, the temperature will reach 20 degrees across the country, even in the northern part of the country. In the southern and central parts of the country, the temperature will generally be between 21 and 24 degrees.

As we head into the weekend, the southern part of the country is likely to see a return of high temperatures. Warm summer weather is expected to continue across most areas. A rain front is approaching from the west and could bring heavy rain to the western part of the country on Friday.
