Minister of Islam Dr Muhammad Shaheem Ali Sayyed said the youths who had the honour to speak well of the Islamic Ummah on Friday were the best and most exemplary youths.
He stated this at a ceremony to award Khadi certificates to 209 Khadi recipients of the second batch of the Youth Khadi Programme held at the Islamic Centre this evening.
The minister said that today our society needs young people and this society is calling for exemplary youth.
The minister said he had no doubt that the most exemplary youth were the Friday members, who, from their high position, exhorted the society to do good and forbid evil and conveyed the invitation of Islam.
The minister added that admonishing good and stopping evil is the lesson of the Prophet and the essence of the Prophet’s message. Therefore, the minister said that the youth who have the honor to stand in the preaching position on Fridays, give advice and preach good words to the Islamic Ummah are the best and most exemplary youth.
