Kathmandu, July 31 – The United States lost five wickets in the last eight matches of the second series of the ICC World Cup League to lose to the Netherlands by 19 runs. Chasing a target of 238 runs to win, the Americans scored 218 runs in 49.5 overs.

The eight-team League 2 will run until 2027. The top four teams will qualify directly for the World Cup.
Scotland topped the list with 9 points from 4 wins and 2 losses in 7 games. The Netherlands ranked third with a net return rate, 8 points from 4 wins in 6 games.
Canada is in second and fourth place with six games, while Namibia has four wins in eight games.
Oman ranked fifth with 3 points in 4 games, the United States ranked sixth with 2 points in 2 games. Nepal ranked seventh with 2 points in 4 games. The United Arab Emirates did not score any points in 3 games.
Nepal, Canada and Oman will participate in League 2 in September.
