Education Minister: 64.99% pass rate in ninth year competitive exam
The Director of the Information and Communications Department of the Ministry of Education, Mondher El Afi, announced on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, that the success rate of the diploma exam at the end of general basic education reached 64.99%.
Of the 26,061 candidates in the Class of 2024, 16,936 received an average score greater than or equal to 10, of which 3,515 were directed to pilot high schools.
He also highlighted that Mayssem Drissi, a student at the Siliana Pilot Academy, achieved the best average score in the country, which is 19.12/20.
It is worth noting that the pass rate for the 2024 General Basic Education Final Examination has increased compared to last year, when it was 60.56%, with only 3,074 students entering the pilot high schools.
In the same context, the success rate of the diploma examination at the end of technical basic education reached 64%, or 112 out of 175 candidates.
