BREST/KOROTICHI/BELTA journalists learned at the Agriculture and Food Committee of the Brest Regional Executive Committee on July 19 that the “Korotichi” OJSC in the Stolin region was the first in the Brest region to complete the grain harvest.
The total harvested area of grains, beans and winter rapeseed on the farm is 728 hectares. Of this, 528 hectares are used to grow grains and beans. The total grain production is 2,700 tons, with a yield of 51 cents per hectare. “We were the first to start harvesting on June 18 and the first to complete threshing today,” said Vasily Kudlasevich, director of Korotichi OJSC.
According to the manager, the farmers are going to harvest the harvest with full enthusiasm. This attitude is shown by experienced workers and young people alike. After the combine harvester operator harvested the last ears of corn, the farm workers were congratulated on the end of the harvest in the field.
“This is a very well-coordinated team, with a smart leader, who always works like a family,” stressed Grigory Protosovitsky, chairman of the Stolin regional executive committee. “This is mainly due to favorable climatic conditions, which allow them to work in the fields, and secondly, the residents of the Stolin region have always built their future with hard work and love for the Motherland.”
Korotichi combine harvester operators did not cover their harvesters; today they have gone out to help the neighboring farm of OJSC Polesye-OBM. “We will help our colleagues. Until the area is cleared, we will also thresh, and we will go to other areas to help if they say we need it,” said Vasily Kudrasevich. Meanwhile, in Korotichi, farmers are preparing fodder, collecting straw, and preparing the soil for sowing winter crops. “In general, there is no time to sleep,” the farm director added with a smile -0-.
