Ambition The show is hosted this year by Aya Nakamura, SDM and SCH on Netflixis to promote young rap talents in France and Belgium. In this edition, Godson, a 23-year-old young rapper from Louvain-la-Neuve, embarks on an adventure. His performance is broadcast in the first episode.
“I’m really proud to be part of this show,” the rapper assured at the Fabrique 22A in the heart of Brussels. “I only take positive things from it. It took me out of my comfort zone, allowed me to meet new people and test myself. I got to know myself in aspects that I had never explored before. It was also an enriching experience because you get to meet people from the record industry.”

Godson got to know celebrities in the rap world, including the famous Aya Nakamura. “He is a very elegant and intelligent person. She observes very well and I think she gives good advice. For her, this was also the first time. She was able to handle it very well. Meeting the jury members who we knew through YouTube or TV was like meeting Santa Claus. In the end, when you talk to them, you realize that they are just like the rest of us. They can teach us a lot and provide support for the candidates.”
After a successful first audition, Godson took part in a second test, but unfortunately he did not make the cut. ” I have no regrets. I did my show, I tested myself and it makes me happy.” Since his appearance on the show, interest in Godson’s performance has continued to grow. “My statistics and traffic are increasing. I’m receiving a lot of positive feedback. At the moment, everything is going well. »
Since he was ten years old
Godson developed a passion for rap at a very young age. “I always listened to rap, just like everyone around me. It piqued my interest and I started writing myself. I started writing when I was ten, and the words I wrote didn’t necessarily mean much. Then, little by little, I got involved. At 16-17 I entered the studio, and at 19 I released my first project. I realized that this was really my passion. What I like about rap is that it’s a competition between you and yourself. To surpass others, you have to surpass yourself first. And then it’s always a pleasure to hear his voice through the headphones. The concerts inspire me, too. I have a great team around me.”
In the future, Loongson will continue this momentum. “I will be at Ardentes. There will be a concert at Botanique on October 17. And then we will release a new project.”
