The Northern Lights Film Festival begins tomorrow. This week, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Icelandic and Danish films will be screened for Gomel residents. Different genres – thrillers, dramas, comedies. The main platform for all this will be “Mir”.
The opening is scheduled for 18:00 on April 17. Sigbjorn Litland, First Secretary of the Norwegian Embassy, is expected to attend. The first to be screened is the thriller “Vanguard”, which was shot in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The plan for the remaining days is as follows:
— April 18 — Drama “They Escaped” (Finland, 2014);
— April 19 — Thriller “Shooter” (Denmark, 2013);
— April 20 — Drama “Hotel” (Sweden, 2013);
— April 21 — Drama “The Patriot” (Finland, 2014);
— April 22 — Comedy, drama “Northern Paris” (Iceland, 2014);
— April 23 — Play “I’m Yours” (Norway, 2014).
The conference starts at 18:00 and admission is free. All films are shown in the original language and with subtitles.
