The route to the coast now has six round trips. The Guayaquil City Council announced that a new U-turn is ready at kilometer 20.
Guayaquil Mayor Aguiles Alvarez said Thursday that the new return route is now ready for use.
“They initiated a 180-degree turn between ATM and public works, benefiting over 70,000 residents. People are fed up. Now, don’t be smart and see if you can get in, it’s only for light vehicles,” Alvarez said.
The work is aimed at improving mobility on this road, which has a heavy vehicle load.
In January last year, the municipality had inaugurated a return trip at kilometre 13.5, so the road now has six return trips.
“This work may seem small, but it has a big impact on the traffic flow on the road. Come, take the test and tell me,” Alvarez said on his X social network account. (I)
