The Legal and Judicial Research Center of the Ministry of Justice will hold two training courses for a number of jurists from various ministries and government agencies from June 30 to July 4, covering: “Document authentication and certification skills, combating crimes related to public office.”
The first training course “Skills for Document Recording and Certification” aims to develop participants’ legal and practical skills in the field of document certification, authentication, control, certification methods and history by explaining the general provisions of document authentication and certification. In accordance with the legal certification of documents and their effectiveness, the legal provisions related to certification bodies and company registration contracts are introduced, and the rules for certifying the authenticity of various types of documents (official and customary documents) and the provisions related to business are understood. And the provisions of electronic certification and the responsibilities of certification service providers are reviewed to enhance electronic signatures.
The second training course dealt with “Fighting crimes related to public office”, which developed the skills of public officials in combating crimes related to public office and public funds by introducing the types of crimes related to public office, the occurrence of public funds, the negative impact on the national economy, and raising awareness of the damage caused by the embezzlement and corruption of public funds and the resulting damage to the public interest, explained the role of legal and regulatory authorities in combating administrative corruption, and identified the types and procedures for investigating crimes related to public office.
For his part, Dr. Saleh Ali Fadallah, Director of the Legal and Judicial Research Center at the Ministry of Justice, stressed the importance of these specialized training courses in developing legal skills among researchers and legal experts and in developing legal and practical skills among participants of these courses, with maximum benefits to the ministries and government agencies that design these courses to meet their training needs.
He said that the Legal and Judicial Research Centre of the Ministry of Justice, under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, aims to meet the country’s training needs in the following areas: In line with the Third National Development Strategy and in line with the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 related to human development, the Centre therefore offers specific programmes and courses that take into account practical and applied aspects and focus on training qualified national cadres in various professions, legal fields and areas related to improving the professional and technical capabilities and expertise of jurists in various government institutions.
