A weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms and heavy rain tonight.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s yellow warning runs from 10pm tonight until 8am on Monday.
Thunderstorms will move across the island tonight, bringing heavy rain with up to an inch of rainfall to some areas and winds reaching 50 mph over high ground and in the west.
The winds were said to be unusually strong for this time of year.
