New Zealand has reported 2,640 new cases of Covid-19 in the week to Sunday, with 30 more people dying from the virus.
Of the new cases, 1,617 were reinfections.
Among them, 169 cases were hospitalized and no cases were in the intensive care unit.
The most new cases reported in the past week were in Canterbury (320), followed by Waitemata (264) and Counties Manukau (252).
last week, Te Whatu Ora reports 2772 new cases There were 31 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in a week, and 31 more people died from the virus.
Te Whatu Ora also noted last week that data from June 24 had been updated to correct an issue with reporting cases and related hospital admissions which had resulted in an under-reporting of the data.
