PU Koper informed that they received a call yesterday morning from SB Izola where a minor who was involved in a road accident was being treated.
The police found that the 15-year-old boy from Izola was riding his bicycle from the post office to the cemetery in Izola. The driver of a private car came out of an alley and hit the front wheel. The child fell and suffered minor injuries, but the car driver did not stop and continued to drive.
The traffic accident was treated as a crime of abandoning a person injured in a traffic accident. Once the perpetrator is found, criminal charges will follow.
