Kathmandu, July 28. The Ministry of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has demanded cost verification documents after companies producing treated water expressed dissatisfaction with the maximum retail price set by the government.
It warned treated water production companies not to enter into agreements with hotels and restaurants that exceed the stipulated maximum retail prices for bottled and bottled water.
The department issued a notification on Monday requiring submission of documents along with production cost analysis chart if the department produces and distributes water other than treated water.
Awareness has also been given to ensure that these details do not change during monitoring/inspection by the department.
To this end, it was required to submit documents within 7 days. After the government’s notice, the water company protested.
The department issued a notification last Wednesday asking water producers not to apply different MRPs for water of the same quality, weight and quantity.
