Kathmandu, July 32. Tension builds after police arrive at Kotihom in Pashupati. Supporters of storyteller Vijay Krishnamurthy ji Maharaj protested after some plainclothes policemen arrived at Kotihom.
Self-proclaimed religious guru Vijay Krishnamurthy called on his supporters to protest against police coming to arrest him.
In a Facebook Live broadcast, he accused Nepali police of trying to arrest him at the request of a foreigner.
Today is the end of Kotihom. After the conclusion, the police rushed there overnight. When the police arrived, the supporters surrounded Vijay Krishnamurthy. They also raised slogans against the government and police.
Kathmandu police’s SSAP Basant Rajourey said that after Kotihome Vijay Krishnamurthy finished interrogation, plainclothes police arrived but his supporters attacked the police.
He said the two persons who attacked the policemen have been detained by Gaushara police.
