Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday reiterated his remarks that there is a high probability that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BRS) will merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the near future.

Mr. Reddy, in an informal chat with reporters in New Delhi, said BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be the governor while his son and party workers president KT Rama Rao is likely to enter the Union Cabinet. He also hinted that former minister T. Harish Rao will be the leader of opposition in the Telangana Assembly.

The Telangana Chief Minister did not stop there and went on to add that the BRS members in the Rajya Sabha will also be merged into the BJP which in turn will boost KCR’s daughter and MLC K. Kavitha to the Upper House. He also said that she will be granted bail in the Delhi liquor case. Mr. Reddy today said that BRS leaders may deny the development but it is a fact that the merger will be carried out at any cost.

He said the government has kept a reserve fund of Rs 5,000 crore for farm loan waiver. “If more than one family member has a loan and the sum exceeds Rs 2 lakh, the family is considered as a unit and the loan up to Rs 2 lakh will be waived,” he said.
