The State Food Agency reports that a case of salmonellosis (acute enteric disease) has been registered in Tbilisi.
It is understood that six patients were hospitalized for treatment, three of whom were confirmed to have salmonellosis through laboratory tests.
Epidemiological studies have shown that the patient dined at the “Ori Katkha” restaurant, where he ate khinkali, grilled chicken fillet and “Cezr” chicken fillet salad. This was reported by aliq.ge.
“Upon receiving the information, the State Food Agency immediately launched an investigation. Authorized personnel from the Agency’s Tbilisi City Service conducted an unscheduled inspection of the kitchen of LLC “Ori Katkha”.
During the inspection, major inconsistencies were found, for which the restaurant stopped the production process and was fined GEL 1,000. Minor inconsistencies were also found and instructions were issued to correct them within a reasonable time,” the press release stated.
